A true story from a 9 yr old
I'd made a special card for her and i'd tried really hard
I gave it to her when she was there lying in the yard
Her car had just been stolen and she'd had to have a drink
A drink a drink a drink a drink until she couldn't think
I wiped the vomit off her as she gagged noisily
I'm sure the neighbours they could hear but at least they couldn't see
All that was on my mothers day just three short years ago
Then she began to take those drugs and i didn't even know
If i would ever see her from day to day to day
Then the good lord who is up there chose to take her away.
