Pranjal Kalita - Silver Linings Of Life

2014-06-12 8

In the silent dusk of river lachit..

Tearful eyes and twisted thoughts of mine,
were vanishing in downstream slowly..
An untuned whistling of the boatman nearby,
Suddenly breaks my moment of melancholy..
Peoples were returning home by the boat..
They have no fear of waves covering..
All of them enjoying the part of their life..
With the sails dancing and waving..

In the paddy fields of my hometown..

I always found you in smell of the earth..
In the wind passing through me everyday..
When I lost myself in the chirpings of birds..
I love to run and follow them everyday..
Whenever I fall if you are not there to hold me
Songs of farmers inspires to rejoice my life..
Fireflies in the field light up a spark into me..
To live happily through the dark side of life..

In the city at the crossroads..

random chattering and gathering of unknowns..
over the U-turn bridge I am still waiting..
with burning Unspoken phrases through joints..
and the smokes rolling down by the railings..
the gang of children from slums of the city..
Asking for a penny holding their stomach..
A fake line of starve I can see on few of them..
A true innocent love budding through eyes..
The girl with bunch of roses and sweet smile...
She brought from her garden to sell all of them
