Why do you laugh at me?
I am the fire that gazes through the reign
Your laughter does not quiet me
It makes me stronger
You laugh at me because my hair is different
You laugh at me because I speak different
You laugh at me because I walk different
You laugh at me because I like to read
You laugh at me because I dress different
You laugh at me because I wear bows in my hair
You laugh at me because I’m serious
You laugh at me because I have acne
You laugh at me because I wear glasses
You laugh at me because I am intelligent
You laugh at me because I am disabled
But all your laughter is your pain
Because two weeks later you taunt my style
So why do you laugh at me
Your laugh or words don’t bring pain upon me
But upon yourself
So why do you laugh at me
Do you laugh at me because you are in misery?
And need someone to lash out at
You can keep laughing, but won’t knock me down
Because in the end your laughter is my strength
Since I succeeded and you preceded
