I have noticed quite particularly
This vague thing about popularity
Checked out some 'poets' rated popular
But their poems have a most horrid grammar!
Subject and predicates in dire disagreement
Plurals and singulars in dismemberment
Wayward modifiers and lost prepositions
Writing such a gross piece of composition!
While I do not at all claim to be perfect
But for writers, basic grammar we would expect,
And chosen as one to be a popular poet,
Some skill in correctness we must not forget.
