I'm sorry that I've hurt you.
I hate what I've become.
I know what I did was wrong,
I hurt a lot of people when I left you.
I say I hate to see you hurt,
but I've hurt you worse.
And I'm so sorry for it.
I know that I hurt you,
and I'm sorry I'm not good enough for you.
I'll never forgive myself,
of that I assure you.
But if I ever showed you this poem
you'd probably never speak to me again.
And I can't handle that.
I know I'm selfish.
I say I don't like what you've turned into.
And it's the truth.
But it's my fault.
All mine.
You changed,
because I hurt you.
I'm sorry for that too.
But you see all these red lines?
The ones on my legs and arms,
and there's more on my shoulders.
Those aren't from my cat
and they're not accidents.
See?
I'm making myself hurt too.
