Edwina Reizer - Friendship

Will you walk with me a mile or two
and remember how we walked?
Will you talk with me with words so few
and remember how we talked?

For memories are made by the smaller things,
not by the length or the size.
And friends are made by the comfort one brings
and therein lays the prize.

So if you have a friend or two
or maybe three or four.
You have found what’s most important.
You should want for nothing more.

For if you have no friend at all
life is an empty shell.
Pursue the quest of finding just one
and feel how your heart will swell.
