Everyone has been all the rage about these croissant + donut mashups by Dominique Ansel in NYC. Unfortunately, these are knockoffs, but let's see if they're worth the hype. Subscribe, we need it! http://goo.gl/Z7lbS

The Overlords of Tasted.com love feeding you guys what you love, and you love to watch us try foods for you, so that you don't have to (or so you can decide whether to run out and get some). Thus, we bring you a little lesson on the internet and real life summer super hit: The Cronut. These Croissant and Donut Mashups have caused a great stir all around the US and the world. Created by Dominique Ansel in NYC, the lines each day to try these deep fried sweet nuggets of dough are said to be an epic 2-6 hours long (at the end of which you are likely to find out that they sold out :/ again). Could this be the next evolution of super deliciousness? Are these the pinnacle of all desserts ever or just another passing fad? Check out the video to see what the office thinks of the latest fast food trend.
We do Food Mashups all the time! Check out this playlist and see if Cheffy holds up to Dominique Ansel:
