It's been ages since we last talked
Just to show you that I never forgot
I'm typing this poem in the dead of the night
When everyone's asleep and the moon's shining bright
I hope to read this to you clear and aloud
I hope to shout to the world I'm really proud
Really proud to know a friend like you
I hope our friendship is sticky like glue
So even when it dries up all the better
We'll stick thru thick and thin forever
I'd never realise at the day's end
It's you who taught me laughter, my dear friend
So even if we never keep in contact
I just want you to know our friendship's still intact
Who ever heard of dried glue crumbling away
It's the paper that's the one to give way
I'd like to tell you you're really great
The best friend I've ever made
Just to prove to you all these are true
Give me a call, I'll be waiting for you
