Them summer days that you wished would never end
The hug that just makes your day
That little text message to ask if you’re ok
The drive home from work with your fav song on
The lazy Sundays that seems ever so long
The walk in the breeze just feeling the air
The small gestures that let u know people care
The holding of someone’s hand
The knowing that they want to understand
Watching the stars twinkle in the night
For me it’s the simple things in life
