Breakthrough claimed in malaria eradication

Scientists in the UK say they think they have found a way to eradicate malaria once and for all.

It is only the female mosquitoes carrying the malaria parasite which bite and spread the disease.

Scientists at London's Imperial College have perfected a way of genetically modifying those species so that only males are bred.
