School officials in Barrington, Illinois are warning parents about a so-called ‘Hanging Game’. This comes after two second grade boys were caught playing the game in a school bathroom.

Both children were reportedly hanging by their collars on door hook. Luckily, neither boy was hurt.

Although it appears as though the kids were just playing, administrators at Countryside Elementary School have since removed door hooks from the facility. In light of the incident, 7 other local schools have done the same thing in order to keep students safe.

"What exactly do they do in this game?"
"They take their t-shirts and they hang them or attach them to the hooks that are on the other side of bathroom stall doors."
"While they are still wearing their shirts?"

Classmates of the two boys are responsible for alerting school staffers after witnessing them suspended from their collars. Faculty then stepped in to take them off the hooks.

Hanging or choking games are often played by minors to get a high-like experience. In this case, the boys weren’t hanging for a euphoric state, but just thought it would be fun.

One of the males confessed he heard about the ‘hanging game’ from someone outside the school. Neither boy will be punished.
