Deputies in Sonoma County, California are currently investigating after a pair of teenagers was busted cruising around in a sports car valued at nearly a quarter of a million dollars.

The teens, who are both 19, were pulled over by a sheriff's deputy in Roseland. Mohannad Halaweh was behind the wheel of the orange McLaren.

When police ran the plates, they learned the upscale auto had been reported stolen. Cops soon arrested Halaweh and his companion in the passenger's seat, Nhimia Kahsay.

An investigation showed Halaweh allegedly used a stolen credit card to rent the vehicle for 13 thousand dollars. He also used that card to rent a $12 million home in Glen Ellen.

Halaweh was booked into Sonoma County jail on ‘suspicion of possession of stolen property and credit card fraud charges.’ Kahsay was also taken into custody but was later released after receiving a citation. Additional charges may come in the future.

The probe into the stolen credit card is ongoing.
