The two clips show Bieber singing the N-word 5 years ago. As soon as the footage was out there, Netizens became angry, believing the material shows him being racist.
Bieber apologized once he was made aware the videos had emerged saying he was, in his own words, sorry “for offending or hurting anyone with my childish and inexcusable mistake”.
He took responsibility for what was said and decided to become baptized in the Christian Church. He reportedly spent a week studying the Bible before seeking atonement.
Pastor Carl Lentz assisted Bieber with his studies. The baptism took place in the bathroom of a friend. The pop star’s requirement for the baptism was that it be private, hence why it was carried out in a bathroom.
Reflecting on his decision, a source remarked “Justin is serious about his Christian faith, and after recent events, he needed to take a pause.”
