Thai-style iced tea is a popular iced drink hailing from Thailand, commonly found in Thai restaurants across US. It is very easy to make and is wonderfully refreshing to drink during summer. Chef Annuradha Toshniwal brings you this refreshing cold beverage recipe from the Thai cuisine.
Ingredients:
2 cups water
1 tsp. tea leaves
4-5 tbsp. condensed milk
Thai Lemon grass
Indian lemon grass
Crushed Ice
Mint leaves to garnish
Method:
- In a vessel, put the water to boil.
- Put a stick of Thai lemon grass and green tea in the boiling water and let them boil.
- Put tea powder in the boiling water and let it boil until you get a golden brown tea colour.
- Add about 2 cups of boiled water and the condensed milk to the tea.
- Pour the liquid along with the green flavorings into the jar and allow it to chill in a refrigerator.
- In a glass, add a generous quantity of crushed ice.
- Pour your chilled ice tea into the glass and garnish it with a few mint leaves.
- Put in a stirrer and your white iced tea is ready to be served.
