US suburbs rise near nuclear disaster zone

A nuclear weapons factory in Rocky Flats, Colorado, was shut down in 1989 after the government found it was mishandling radioactive waste and toxic chemicals.

Fast-forward 25 years, and housing estates are being built less than 2km from areas that will remain off-limits for tens of thousands of years.
