An altercation recently broke out between a judge and a public defender in the Brevard County, Florida courthouse. Cameras inside the courtroom recorded audio bits of the argument.
Things got heated following a conversation over whether or not public defender Andrew Weinstock‘s client would have a speedy trial. Judge John Murphy didn’t seem to like his authority being questioned.
At one point the judge bluntly stated “If you want to fight let's go out back and I'll just beat your a**.”
It’s unclear what exactly went down after they left the courtroom, but speculation is now spreading that Murphy actually hit the public defender.
