Russia has introduced a “No smoking” ban in bars, restaurants hotels and trains.

As of June 1 cigarettes will also no longer be allowed to be displayed in shops or sold in kiosks.

Around 39 percent of Russia’s adult population smokes – it’s one of the highest rates in the world.

Smokers say the ban is nothing short of discrimination.

President Vladimir Putin’s government hopes to cut it to 25 percent by 2020.
