The second phase of contacts between central leadership of Pakistan Muslim League Quaid (PMLQ) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) are ongoing in London on Saturday in a bid to complete homework for formation of a possible ‘grand alliance,’ Dunya News reported.
The ongoing meeting is being attended by Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and Dr Khalid Ranjha representing PMLQ and Dr Tahirul Qadri as PAT’s representation. The leaders exchanged views regarding formulation of a possible ‘grand opposition alliance’.
It was decided in the session that more contacts will be initiated for the purpose of building grand alliance. PMLQ’s leader Kamil Ali Agha said that their leadership is meeting only Dr Tahirul Qadri at this point and no contact with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chief Imran Khan has been established.
Meanwhile, the sources say that PMLQ’s convoy will meet Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain in a day or two.
