Fans of the hit film, ‘My Big Fat Greek Wedding’ have been waiting a very long time for a sequel. It’s now been confirmed that a second movie featuring Nia Vardalos and John Corbett will be hitting the big screen in the not too distant future.

Fans of the hit film, ‘My Big Fat Greek Wedding’ have been waiting a very long time for a sequel. It’s now been confirmed that a second movie featuring Nia Vardalos and John Corbett will be hitting the big screen in the not too distant future.
In addition to acting in the flick, Vardalos will also be writing it. Talking about the long awaited sequel, she commented “Now that I’m experiencing motherhood, I’m ready to write the next chapter of my family story. Of course, a few jaded folks in the press corps will claim I ran out of money or just want to kiss John Corbett again. One of these things is true.”
Not too many tidbits have been released regarding the plot, but thus far what's known is that the movie is going to be centered on the large, silly Portokalos clan.
A family secret is let out of the bag and a bigger wedding takes place, reuniting the family. Which relative will be tying the knot remains a mystery.
Playtone, Gold Circle Films and HBO are listed as the entities behind the upcoming film. No estimated release date has been set.
