It happened at a busy bus stop. According to witnesses, the deer had been perfectly calm when it was first spotted sauntering up the sidewalk at approximately 9 in the morning.

However when the animal noticed there was a crowd at the bus stop, it seemed to go into panic mode. In an effort to avoid humans, the spooked deer attempted to leap over the crowd.

At that very moment, the unlucky woman, Dena Lyles had been getting off the bus. She didn’t even see the deer coming. At that time, the animal had already jumped into the air and was making its way back towards the ground.

As its back legs kicked out, Lyles was struck or kicked by the airborne deer. She was knocked to the ground as a result.

She encountered some pain resulting from the incident, but fortunately she’s going to be just fine. The deer disappeared down a nearby alley following the incident.
