Italy/ Geneva, May 26: It’s been over a year now, and the killers of Arif Shahid, the chief of the All Parties National
Alliance (APNA), are still on the run. The 62-year-old leader was brutally shot on May 13, 2013, while returning from his
office in Rawalpindi in Pakistan. Allegedly targeted by the Pakistani spy agency, the motive was to weaken the struggle for
freedom in Azad Kashmir. The nationalist leader was remembered on his first martyrdom anniversary by Kashmiris in Europe and
Azad Kashmir. In Italy, the leader of United Kashmir People’s National Party, Sardar Shaukat Ali Kashmiri, charged Pakistani
spy agencies with the killing of Arif Shahid to kill the voice for a free Azad Kashmir.
