Numerous children were in the pool at the time. A little girl was shocked right away after touching the metal piece. She instantly went limp in the water.

A man outside the pool tried to reach in to save her but he was zapped by the railing. Fortunately he was able to recover quickly and grab her.

Another girl, aged 5, began floating in the water after the electrical surge hit the pool. She was also pulled to safety. A 10-year-old boy, the third child victim, had been swimming close to the railing when he felt a shock.

All three kids were hospitalized and have since been released.
