96-year-old Barbara Cook hasn’t seen her brother in over 70 years as he left the West Michigan area in 1937. Now in an effort to solve the mystery, Cook and her granddaughters have teamed up, using Facebook to garner leads that will hopefully lead them to their long lost relative.
Take for instance, 96-year-old Barbara Cook. She hasn’t seen her brother in 77 years when he left the West Michigan area in 1937.
Ever since then, Cook has wondered where he is and what he’s become. Now in an effort to solve the mystery, Cook and her granddaughters have teamed up, using Facebook to garner leads that will hopefully lead them to their long lost relative.
The granddaughters have created a Facebook page dedicated solely to finding Christian Oliver Dann Junior. The profile picture features Cook’s smiling face holding a poster with all of Dann's information including his full name, birthday and the last time he was seen by the family.
The Cooks have previously used genealogy websites to locate him but didn’t have any luck. What makes the search even more difficult is that the family is unsure if he’s still alive.
If Dann is, he would be 98 years old. The last form of contact between Cook and her brother was 77 years ago.
She received a letter, which Dann had mailed from Arizona, but since then she’s heard nothing. Cook is hoping to at least find answers and get some closure in her search.
