Ogilvy & Mather Berlin came up with the idea to set up tiny, employed kiosks in five different German cities, all in an effort to promote the company’s new miniature cans.
The kiosks easily coincide with the scaled down canisters, being so minute that the one staffer inside is forced to sit down and look upwards just to greet customers.
Even the message scrawled across the exterior of the minuscule structure is fitting. It notes “It's the little things in life that makes us happy.” And it must be said, the campaign has done pretty well.
According to the advertising agency, the kiosks sold an average of 380 mini cans per day, which equates to an over 275 percent increase in sales when compared to cans that are sold in routine vending machines.
The kiosks also contained a small vending machine on the side. The man or woman working the kiosk offered newspapers and edible goods to customers so there was a nostalgic element to the campaign. The kiosks mimicked old school news and beverage stands, only in a modern sized, compact package.
