A woman in Minnesota is thankful to both a police officer and a good Samaritan who helped save her life. On May 7th at about 11:30 at night, Lake Crystal Police were dispatched to a local section of highway after the woman, Anna Smith’s vehicle stalled out during a nasty downpour.

Just a short time after her car died, it was struck by lightning she was trapped inside the burning vehicle. The responding cop, Officer Burban was already en route when the dispatcher informed him the car had caught fire.

By the time he arrived on scene, Smith’s trailblazer was engulfed in flames. Dash cam footage shows Burban running as fast as he could to the vehicle.

It was then that a male came from seemingly out of nowhere and booked it across the highway to assist the officer.

The Good Samaritan was later identified as teenager Michael Smith. Together he and Burban were able to get Smith out to safety.

Aside from a few very minor injuries, all three walked away from the ordeal, one of whom knew her life had been saved by two heroes.
