Inside Thailand's acting prime minister is meeting with the Election Commission to fix a date for a new election.
The meeting however was cut short as hundreds of protesters seeking to oust the government streamed through a side entrance of the compound forcing the premier and other ministers to leave.
This is the latest disruption in setting up polls that the government hopes will break six months of political stalemate.
They had put off talks at another venue a day earlier because of security fears.
The government sees a general election as the best way out of a crisis.
But some protesters disagree.
(SOUNDBITE)(Thai) UNIDENTIFIED PROTESTER SAYING:
"They don't have any rights to set up an election. It depends on the people, they have to ask the people. The government talked about their duty but they never asked about the people who died. They never asked and never mentioned it."
