Photos were taken of the bizarre seven story building right before completion. It’s not clear what exactly happened, but it does not seem to have affected the next door building which remains upright.
What is known is that the construction site was nearly complete when the apartment house suddenly tilted over approximately 30 degrees.
Firefighters said the chance of a total collapse was high. Police even checked the stability of the ground underneath the complex in an effort to determine what went wrong.
Eventually the conclusion was made that the leaning building will have to be demolished.
