Japanese men baldly go to this new Tokyo restaurant.

Follicularly challenged customers are particularly welcomed in this Japanese style pub. They're encouraged to embrace their loss of hair not hide it.

(SOUNDBITE) (Japanese) PUB OWNER, YOSHIKO TOYODA, SAYING:

"Baldness is a very delicate issue in Japan, but in Hollywood there are a number of stars who completely ignore their hairless state and proudly carry out their work. I thought it would be nice to foster that spirit here."

They even get the additional perks that aren't available to hairier men.

Each bald man gets a nearly five dollar discount, with the rewards increasing along with the number of bald customers in each group.

Baldness is not as prevalent in Japan as in the West but reports say it still affects 26 percent of men.

Genetics plays a major role, but stress among the nation's chronically overworked corporate "salarymen" is also blamed.
