A college drinking party has been cancelled due to protestors who allege the event is racially insensitive. The party was originally going to be put on by students at the University of California, Davis.

Called 'Cinco de Drinko', it was supposed to be a one night event held on the Saturday right before the Cinco de Mayo holiday. Many fellow students at the college were against the party so they banded together to form a protest outside of an on-campus coffee house where some of the organizers’ of 'Cinco de Drinko' worked.

There were approximately 100 students who gathered to protest against the party which involves students wearing sombreros and mustaches while, as you may be able to guess, drinking large amounts of alcohol.

The protestors were successful in the efforts to have 'Cinco de Drinko' called off. The organizers decided to cancel it altogether.

The party is a controversial topic at the university, because many students deem it to be blatantly insensitive, but there are others who say the theme is completely harmless.
