Lofoten is an archipelago in northern Norway. A must see with its imposing mountains reaching to the sea, frozen lakes, fishing villages. And even if it sits within the Arctic Circle, thanks to the Gulf Stream it has very mild temperatures.
Winter time in Lofoten is magical! The Sun barely leaves the horizon for few golden hours.
But it is at night that the true show begins: the Aurora Borealis can manifest itself with magnificent shows of light. It's a breathtaking and almost out-of-this-world experience, especially the first time you see it!
I explored these incredible islands for a week, from Narvik to Å, trying to capture the best light and vistas in this film.
