Russia has warned of painful consequences, after it was slapped with new sanctions from the U.S. and European Union. Separately, Washington announced new sanctions against several more people in Vladimir Putin's inner circle - as it tries to pressure Russia's leader to de-escalate Ukraine's crisis.
