Tornado Turns Into Waterspout Over Pamlico River

Strong thunderstorms swept across eastern North Carolina on Friday, April 25, with seven confirmed tornadoes hitting Pitt, Beaufort and and Perquimans counties. Whichards Beach, Beaufort County, was struck by a EF-3 tornado, which was the strongest of the year, according the National Weather Service.
