"Flatlander Woman" is a reference to Flatland, a book written in 1884 about two-dimensional creatures trying to comprehend a three-dimensional existence. This would make the reference a jab at Anna Navarre's extremely narrow perspective yet also a compliment regarding her deadliness: flatlander women are lines and can thus easily stab the polygonal men, plus they can be extremely stealthy since when viewed from the ends they appear to be nothing but a tiny dot.

Additional music is "The Imperial Probe/Aboard the Executor" from the Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back soundtrack, "Sabbath -Demon Banquet-" from the Shadow Hearts: From the New World soundtrack, and "Chorale II (Roosh Ka Ma)" by Adiemus.
