Reuters video captures the moment when bomb blasts in Baghdad kill 33 people and wound 59 others at an Iraqi Shi'ite political organization's rally on Friday (April 25).
The blasts occurred as the militant group, Asaib Ahl Haq (League of the Righteous), introduced its candidates at the rally in eastern Baghdad for elections that are scheduled on April 30. Three bombs exploded in succession as people were leaving, Reuters reporters at the scene said.
A roadside bomb blew up near the main gate, followed by a suicide car bomb after a few minutes and then a final explosion.
The number of dead and injured were reported by police and medical sources but may change as more details emerge.
Asaib Ahl Haq is accused by some Sunnis and Shi'ites of carrying out killings and driving families from their homes.
