After Viktor Yanukovych was ousted as Ukraine’s prime minister, Arseniy Yatsenyuk took the job, but wants to make it clear he hasn’t adopted the previous leader’s lifestyle.
While Yanukovych lived in a lavishly appointed palace he preferred not to discuss with the country’s people, Yatsenyuk uploaded a video tour of his modest home for all to see.
He begins the tour by showing the entryway and a nice albeit small bathroom.
The leader and the crew then move into the kitchen, which is a decent size, has striking, modern cabinetry, and a stainless steel refrigerator.
It’s an attractive room, but nowhere near the sort of stuff one would see in a fancy decorating magazine.
Other spaces highlighted in the video are the living area, master bedroom and the children’s rooms.
All are nicely decorated, but the biggest standout features overall are an in-wall aquarium and a white baby grand piano.
Yanukovych’s palace also has a white piano; however, his is a limited edition Steinway and sits in a reception room outfitted with a meticulously inlaid wood floor carved, wood paneled walls, and elaborate furnishings.
