Twenty-seven people were arrested after the Spanish Civil Guard seized 300 kg of cocaine on a sailboat in Portugal on Wednesday.
According to local reports, the drug was hidden in a shipment from Colombia that passed through Venezuela before arriving on a sailboat in Portugal.

The Spanish Civil Guard seized 300 kg of cocaine and took a total of 18 Colombians, six Spaniards, two Romanians and a U.S. citizen into custody.

The investigation called Sosso started months ago in the Spanish region of Cantabria.

Police discovered that those arrested were part of a criminal organization with branches in Santander, Madrid and Barcelona.

In August this year, the Civil Guard in collaboration with the Portuguese police found another sailboat carrying 260 brick-like packages containing 300 kg of coke.
