Seven sixth grade children at a primary school in Moriya, a city in Japan's Ibaraki Prefecture, allegedly bullied a classmate by taking naked videos of him with a Nintendo 3DS. The bullied kid's parents filed a lawsuit asking for 10 million yen in compensation (about $97,000) on Tuesday.
The bullied kid's parents held a press conference this past Tuesday during which they detailed how their child had been bullied. They said members of his handball club had been pulling off his trousers starting last spring. Early this September, the bullies reportedly stripped the boy and filmed him a Nintendo 3DS. They also allegedly snapped photos of him without his pants on. One of kids sent the bottomless photos to two other kids via the 3DS system.
In response to the incident, Japanese video game manufacturer Nintendo has suspended photo and diary sharing services on the 3DS since this November.
