"Cocaine is a hell of a drug." So goes the famed quote by funk legend Rick James.
The white powder is apparently so addictive that a Florida woman visiting a sheriff's office in Land O'Lakes was jonesing for a fix so bad she shot up cocaine while in the office's lobby bathroom.
Not the best decision of Stacy Slabach's life.
Nor was her decision to take a cruise in her mother's car two weeks ago despite having a revoked license. After a string of DUIs, the 32-year-old had her license suspended forever in 2010, according to a report by the Tampa Bay Times.
She was charged with driving with a revoked license and was released on $5,000 bail a few days later, but her mom's medication was still in the impounded Hyundai Elantra.
While visiting the sheriff's office with her mother, she apparently thought it'd be a good time to inject liquified cocaine intravenously.
She snuck into the ladies room and stuck herself with a syringe. Unfortunately for Slabach, an evidence technician checking in on her interrupted her mid-shoot up session and she was promptly arrested.
Deputies found a crack pipe, marijuana and crack cocaine on her person.
"We usually don't have cases where we find people shooting up drugs in our agency's public restrooms," said sheriff's spokeswoman Melanie Snow.
Yeah, no s***. Only in Florida ... only in Florida.
