Religious officer shot dead outside home in Malaysia

Gun violence: The chief assistant direct of enforcement of Pahang Islamic Department, Ahmad Rafi Abdul Malek, was shot dead outside his home on Sunday afternoon (November 10) in Kuantan, Malaysia.

Ahmad Rafi shot at around 2:30 p.m. local time, according to The Star Online.

Kuantan deputy OCPD Supt Abdul Aziz Ahmad said Ahmad Rafi was shot three times at close range by a group of men in a Wira Aeroback, and died at the scene. The three suspects were reportedly aged between 30 and 50.

Ahmad Rafi was inside his home when a man dressed in a black jubah called out to him from outside. When Ahmad Rafi came out, another man emerged from the car and shot him three times. Two bullets hit him in the chest while one bullet went astray. The suspects then fled the scene the waiting car.
