A London salon got a visit from North Korean officials after it began featuring a picture of Kim Jong-un in the window.
The caption on the poster of the leader said, “Bad Hair Day? – 15 percent off all gent cuts through the month of April.”
No, the gentlemen weren’t looking for a trim. Rather, they were there to question why the salon used the image and to let it be known that they found it disrespectful.
Upon their arrival, the officials asked to see the salon’s manager.
According to the owner, the two men were shortly after shown to the door and reminded that they had no jurisdiction over what goes on in England.
Police were contacted about the matter by both of the parties involved in the disagreement.
London authorities said there was really no offence to investigate.
As for if the ad has been successful in drumming up interest in the hairstyle, a salon spokesman said, “we have never had to perform that haircut on anyone….Perhaps, if David Beckham wore it. But, I don’t really see it catching on to be honest.”
