An Alaskan Airlines passenger at Sonoma County Airport was trying to bring some homemade enchiladas on board with her, but got stopped by TSA authorities.

They didn’t appear to have any issues with the enchiladas themselves. It was the 8 and a half-inch knife that was in the package with them that caught the authorities’ attention.

The discovery was made when the passenger was going through security.

TSA officials spotted the wrapped food, opened it up, and soon after came upon the blade.

The woman carrying them appeared to be in shock, saying she had made the dish over the weekend and had no idea how a huge knife ended up in them.

Not ones to take potential security threats lightly, the TSA agents turned her over to Sheriff’s Deputies, who investigated the situation further.

They eventually cleared her and she was allowed to proceed with her travels, but that doesn’t necessarily mean the situation is over.

Should they choose to pursue the matter, the TSA could hit the woman with a very hefty fine.

Monetary penalties for the offense can be as high as 10 thousand dollars.
