This marks a significant change in her stance on the matter, as not long ago she said the possibility was nowhere on her radar.
In fact, her answer was typically a simple ‘no’ when the subject of her entering a life of political service came up.
The former first daughter now takes the position of maybe.
She has some conditions, though.
For her to consider a bid, she said she’d have to be dissatisfied with the current leadership.
She told Fast Company, “If at some point that weren’t the case, and I didn’t support my mayor or my city councilwoman or my congressman or either of my senators…maybe then I’d have to ask and answer the question for myself, and come to a different answer.”
Clinton pointed out that at this time, she’s fine with those in office at the city, state and country levels.
She did express regrets that within her circle of friends there is almost no one considering public office as an option.
