A 62-year-old Ohio man was ordered to hold a sign saying 'I am a bully' on a street corner as part of his punishment for bullying a neighbor and her disabled children.

Sandra Prugh has two adopted children who are African American. Her husband suffers from dementia.

She said in a letter to the court that neighbor Edmond Aviv, with whom she had feuded for 15 years, called her an ethnic slur while she was holding her two adopted children.

She said Aviv spat at her several times and would often throw dog feces at her son's car. Aviv also smeared dog feces on the wheelchair ramp in front of her house and tarred the sidewalk so her children couldn't navigate over it in their wheelchairs. If her kids were playing with a ball, Aviv would kick it away from them.

In the most recent incident, he rigged his dryer vent to blow kerosene fumes toward her yard after complaining about the smell from her laundry room.

Aviv pleaded no contest in February to a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct and was sentenced last month. Municipal Court Judge Gayle Williams-Byers ordered him to hold the sign up for five hours on Sunday.

She ordered him to serve 15 days in jail, take anger management classes and write an apology. He was fined the maximum of $250.

Aviv was on the corner of Trebisky and Monticello with the sign from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
