"The Amazing Spider-Man 2" had its world premiere in London on Thursday (April 10) and the man beneath the famous red suit, Andrew Garfield, arrived, escorted by a group of children from a local outreach group.

Garfield posed for photos on the red carpet. He told reporters that he was concerned about the film's supposed surprise ending being revealed to early.

SOUNDBITE: Andrew Garfield saying (English):

"I mean in this day and age it's so hard because for some reason we all want to know stuff before it happens. I don't really understand that. When I saw 'The Sixth Sense', I didn't know that Bruce Willis was in fact dead and I thought that was rather... sorry. I just ruined it for people who haven't seen 'The Sixth Sense'. See? I've already messed things up. That's the problem. I wish that people could just go to the movie and just watch the story unfold. That's how I like going to the movies."

Also hitting the carpet was Garfield's on-screen and off-screen girl
