This revises a review (which remains below) that was originally one star for difficulty of assembly and very poor assembly instructions. Somebody in our house who is considerably younger and obviously smarter finally figured out after watching 3M's video (on both Amazon and youtube; the latter is available in HD, which should help). Once assembled, this is a fine hard hat. I haven't had it long enough to evaluate the UV sensor response.
PROS:
-Lightweight
-Very comfortable for protective geat
-Accommodates other safety equipment, including hearing and eye protection
-Ratcheting knob easily adjusts sizing
CONS:
-Only one: poorly written assembly instructions (that the video may not clarify for some users). 3M should improve them or just ship this assembled.
