A South Carolina man named Larry Clinton says that when he dies, he wants to be cremated and have his ashes stored in a Duke’s brand mayonnaise jar.

He reportedly came up with the idea while attending a funeral with his wife.

Clinton is quoted as saying: “I looked at her and said you know I think I want to be cremated and put in a Duke's mayonnaise jar"

At first, his family thought of it as a joke, but Clinton’s daughter decided she wanted to help her father fulfill his wish.

She contacted C.F. Sauer, the company that owns Duke’s Mayonnaise, and received an email response from the vice president of the company saying that they would be honored to provide glass jars to store Clinton’s ashes in.

"Look at this shot as it pans down there. His name is written right on the front of this jar. He hopes though he still has several more years."

Clinton says that he puts the mayo spread on all kinds of things, from his baloney sandwiches to peaches and pears with cheese.
