There have been lots of reports related to cast of Ajith Kumar's film with Gautham Menon. It was said that the director was looking for for a well-known senior Tamil actor for his stylish entertainer, which is presently called as 'Thala 55'. Prashanth and Aravind Swamy were approached by Gautham Menon but nothing is finalised yet. Gautham Menon has also offered Arun Vijay to play one of the villains in the untitled project. However, the makers of the film are tight-lipped about the details and they will only reveal once everything gets finalised. Gautham Menon has roped in writer Shridhar Raghavan to pen the screenplay.
Anushka Shetty will be playing the female lead opposite Ajith Kumar for the firs time and the talks are on with an actress to play the second fiddle. The director has also sorted out differences with Harris Jayaraj and approached him to compose music for his mega-budget project.
While the industry is eagerly looking forward for the release of Kochadaiiyaan, the preparations for Rajinikanth's next film has already begun. As per the reports, KS Ravikumar is helming the project with Anushka Shetty playing the female lead role. Now, the latest buzz is that Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha has been approached to play an important role in the forthcoming Tamil film. While Anushka Shetty has given a green signal for the project, the Bollywood actress has not given her consent yet. KS Ravikumar will be writing screenplay and directing the film. Pon Kumaran, who has earlier directed Priyamani starrer Chaarulatha, is the man behind the story and the dialogues. He made his directorial debut in Kannada with Only Vishnuvardhana starring Kiccha Sudeep. Prior to his debut as a filmmaker, he had assisted KS Ravikumar in some of his films. Meanwhile, the buzz says that a huge set is being erected in Mysore. The major part of the film will be shot here. However, the makers of the film are tight-lipped about the project.
Sivakarthikeyan has transformed himself from a budding actor to promising star. This is clearly visible with his latest movie Maan Karate getting good pre-talk like any other stars' film. His latest flick is expected to release in above 300+ screens in Tamil Nadu alone this Friday (April 4). After being part of hits like Ethir Neechal and Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam, Sivakarthikeyan is expecting to deliver a hat-trick. If the buzz and the pre-talks of the film are anything to go by, the actor is likely to register one more hit to his credit. Maan Karate is his first movie of the actor to have garnered such a good talk. It is one of the biggest releases in April.
