As legend goes, the chupacabra goes after livestock, specifically sucking the blood of goats and cows. No cold hard evidence has ever surfaced proving the chupacabra does indeed exist despite sightings in numerous parts of the US and Latin America.

Now that the suspected chupacabra in Texas has been caught, many residents in Ratcliffe are getting very close views of the creature and most of them agree, it looks like the real thing.

One local, Arlen Parma commented ‘I hunted coons for 20 years with dogs and I ain't never seen anything that look like that right there.’

The creature has huge claws, a hairless back, a nasty growl and tons of sharp teeth. Wildlife experts who have gotten a glimpse of the animal shut down the chupacabra rumors. One said he thought the Ratcliffe creature resembled a small dog, coyote or fox.

Jackie Stock and her husband Bubba are responsible for locating and capturing the animal.

They’re also hoping to learn if the animal they’re caring for is indeed a chupacabra.
