A Wyoming college student visiting the Mile High City on spring break fell to his death after eating weed cookies, the Denver medical examiner's office says. Levy Thamba Pongi, a 19-year-old international student at Northwest College fell to his death last month from the 4th story balcony of a Holiday Inn in northeast Denver.
While Thamba and three friends were in Denver for spring break, one of them purchased some weed cookies from a legal supplier. After ingesting the cookies, one of friends got kind of sick, while the other two didn't have any problems.
Thamba however became very agitated and upset and starting pulling items off the walls. His friends attempted to calm him down and were temporarily successful, but then Thamba jumped out of bed and went outside the hotel room. Thamba ran out onto the balcony and the lept over the railing to his death.
While the coroner's office is calling his death an accident, the report released on Wednesday says a 'significant condition' during his death was 'marijuana intoxication.'
