Michael Jackson is set to release new album of "contemporized" tunes from beyond the grave.

In a genius move to certain milk even more value from the late pop star, Sony Music Entertainment's Epic Records announced this week it will release a new album of Michael Jackson material pulled together from previously recorded tunes repurposed to new beats. It's sure to thrill fans and make some people a lot of money.

Judging from teaser clips released online, the resurrected Jackson cash cow is sure to have the suits dancing all the way to the bank as the label is enlisting new, original production from from certified hit-makers including Timbaland, Stargate and Epic Records head L.A. Reid. This could be a strong earner for the label.

Reid explained the new eight song project in this statement: "Michael left behind some musical performances that we take great pride in presenting through the vision of music producers that he either worked directly with or expressed strong desire to work with. We are extremely proud and honored to present this music to the world."

It seems we can't escape the legendary singer even in death. But is it necessary? With 10 killer albums already out there should it even be done, or should M.J. be left to rest in peace?
